Housecleaning Tip of the Month The basic principles of cleaning: 1. Elimate-Sweep, or vacuum all dirt, gravel or unidentified things from the surface 2. Saturate- Apply a cleaning solution generously to the dirty surface. (Housecleaning experts like Maids of Honor use certain chemicals for differant floor types) 3. Dissolve-The liquid and chemical action of the cleaner will loosen and dissolve the dirt. 4. Remove-With a mop, sponge, or cleaning cloth to remove the mushy loosened dirt...... You must give the cleaning solution time to work. This is something we teach all of our maids during training.....work smarter not harder!! Clean in Short Bursts Cleaning your home doesn't need to be a giant project. Some of the most efficient cleaning methods are done in small bursts, which can up to a lot of things done in a day if you take advantage of 15 minute slots. Even the busiest people have small spots available in the course of our days. Take advantage of the 5, 10, 15 minute fragments that fall your way everyday and never spend all day Saturday cleaning again. Here's just a few examples: TV commercials, cordless telephones that leave your hands free to roam, waiting time, and as any smart person trying to get something done....don't answer the phone while in the middle of that micro burst. : > ) Maids of Honor News For those of you who have been with Maids of Honor for awhile know that Tania was on a extended maternity leave.
