Why do you call your company the "REAL DEAL"?
We offer a no-nonsense, get-the-job-done housecleaning service that most other companies don't provide. We use products that get results, a system and checklist that ensure a consistent clean every time, and we hire quality-focused people who complete an extensive training program.
How much can I expect to pay for a cleaning?
Every home is estimated individually โ furniture, artwork, children, pets and other variables all affect cleaning time. We'll schedule a no-obligation walkthrough, review each room with you, explain exactly what we'll do, and give you a written estimate. You'll find us affordable and fair. Can you find someone cheaper? Of course โ and many of our clients are former customers of those cheaper services.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No, not at all. We're happy to earn your business each time we clean โ that's how we built this company. We simply ask for at least 48 business hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling to avoid a service fee.
What is your "REAL" promise? What if I'm not happy?
We guarantee to make it right within 24 hours of the cleaning. Just contact us and we'll either make it up on the next visit or send a team back at your convenience โ no run-around, ever. We want our customers to have an excellent experience, time after time.
Do I have to be home for the cleaning?
No. Many of our clients aren't home when we clean. Most entrust us with keys, which are kept secured in our office and issued on cleaning day to the team leader assigned to your home.
Do I have to lock up my pets?
Our employees like pets and are happy to have them around โ as long as the pets feel the same way! We'd love to be introduced on the first visit, and we note all pet information on your checklist for future visits.
Do you always send the same people?
Yes โ for the first month or two, a consistent team of two is assigned to your home, led by a team leader responsible for quality. We then rotate team members gradually so multiple cleaners know your home and your checklist. This keeps quality high, prevents routine complacency, and covers vacations and sick days without missing your cleaning day.
Do you bring your own cleaning supplies?
Yes โ all supplies, chemicals and tools. Our cleaning system is very specific about what we need, and our employees are trained in the use of every tool and product.
Can I trust the people you send to my home?
We are very particular about who we hire. We scrupulously check references, run background checks, and require each employee to be bondable. Every hire completes at least two weeks of supervised training, and only about half of applicants pass the certification test. We're fully bonded and insured to cover you for any breakage or loss for which we're responsible.
What kind of training does your staff receive?
Generally only 1 in 20 applicants qualifies to work for us. New hires complete a 40-hour, 6-part training program with standards testing before becoming an employee. Trainers and supervisors complete additional training, and all staff attend weekly continuing education on cleaning techniques, customer service and problem solving.
What happens if someone gets hurt in my home?
All our employees are covered by Workers' Compensation insurance. Any on-the-job injury is handled through that system โ you and your insurance carrier are never involved.
Will I owe taxes for hiring a housecleaner?
If you hire an individual directly, you might owe Social Security, Workers' Comp, payroll withholding and more. Not with Maids of Honor โ we handle all the paperwork and pay all taxes for our employees.
Is there a cancellation fee?
We ask for at least 48 business hours' notice to cancel or reschedule at no charge. Late cancellations, lockouts, or turning the team away on the day of cleaning incur a fee โ please call the office for current details.
Can I hire your housecleaners directly?
No. Our Service Agreement provides that clients not hire past or present Maids of Honor employees. We invest heavily in recruiting, screening, and training our team, and a substantial referral fee applies if a client hires one of our employees directly.
